Krabi is situated on the riverside of Krabi River where the river goes into Phang Nga bay. Krabi town, a small port land with population less than 60,000, is the capital of Krabi province with most of the governing offices located in the capital. The economy of the place mostly depends on tourism. The rich natural resources and picturesque views attract thousands of tourists around the year.
